Garden Greenfinch - 02/06/2012

We looked out of the living-room window on Saturday morning to see a new-fledged Greenfinch sitting on our wooden garden bench only three feet from the back window.  It stayed there for well over half an hour.  Despite our concerns that it had lost its parents and might have difficulty feeding, it flew off and we assume that it got back to them and survived.  We hope so.

When I grow up I want to be a Long-eared Owl!
